We are thrilled to announce that our Executive Director, Fabiana Bacchini, has been awarded the 2024 Innovation and Impact Award in Youth/Family Partner Leadership by Children’s Healthcare Canada!

This prestigious award recognizes individuals who exemplify outstanding dedication, professional achievement, and leadership in the healthcare community. Fabiana’s tireless advocacy for premature babies and their families, her exceptional leadership, and her role in transforming family-centred healthcare have been honored with this well-deserved recognition.

Under Fabiana's leadership, the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation (CPBF) has continued to make an impact across Canada and beyond. Her efforts, inspired by her personal journey as a parent of a preterm baby, have elevated the voices of families in the neonatal community, including research,  advancing family-integrated care (FICare) and improving the experience for families navigating life in the NICU.

This award not only highlights Fabiana’s incredible contributions but also reflects the CPBF’s commitment to supporting preemies and their families, driving meaningful change in healthcare practices, and fostering collaboration between families and healthcare professionals.

Congratulations, Fabiana! We are so proud of you and your continued leadership! This award is a testament to your dedication to ensuring that the voices of families are heard and that their experiences shape the future of neonatal care.
